Friedman said there are 4 ways to spend money.
1. You spend your money on yourself.
2. You spend your money on someone else.
3. You spend someone else's money on yourself.
4. You spend someone else's money on someone else.
The majority of us fall under #1 & 2. Cost and quality are the major factors in how to spend.
However, we do not have total control over #2 but we do have choices and voices.
The choices made in #2 should be done carefully.
Politicians from the President to local school boards fall into #3 as do many charity organizations.
Lifetime benefits, A1 helthcare & retirement, world travel & Obama's 70 million in vacations.
Clinton Global Intiative & TV Evangelists.
Quality/excess is the major factor while cost is not.
#4 is a core principal of the democratic party's strategy to increase the voter base.
Both parties use #4 to appease/reward donors, cronies and supporters.
Social programs, mandates, rules/regulations, bill pork, global funding, defense, ect. are funded by #4.
Obama has issued 21,000 rules and regs alone, they cost something, somewhere funded or unfunded.
19,000,000,000,000 in US debt with no end in sight.
Both Hillary and Bernie have proposed more spending as have some republicans.
Free college, internet, etc have to be funded.
To assume the 1% like Bill & Hillary will foot the bill is foolish at best,
the cost will be paid by the working class as it always has.
Cost and quality not factors in #4.
I will vote for anyone, individually & not across party lines,
who will give me more of #1, more voice in #2, way less of #3 & a responsible, justifed #4.
The country was founded on individual freedoms and we are losing that.
Every vote I place, not just for president will have these thoughts in mind.
